Respected Rejectz

Coming from Leominster, Massachusetts, AV-8 emerged onto the hip-hop scene in 2018 with their first releases. Immediately catching attention for the vivid subject matter & explosive energy, he quickly became an active member of his community, engaging with the artistic creatives of other mediums as well.

 During 2019, he connected with Yo Daddy Doe (now CEO of YOUNG COFF33), another artist from the same area for their album release party. That was a peak moment into making many lasting connections today. However, the impacts of 2020's pandemic came at a time that hindered some plans. Nonetheless, AV-8 has been part of a wide range events in the Central Massachusetts region, from hip-hop performances to art showcases and more.

 At the end of 2021, AV-8 decided to bring his vision further into fruition by establishing Respected Rejectz LLC. This is an entity that is more than just a record label, but also "a media platform that will connect artists of various mediums & put them on display; the music is only one piece of the puzzle." 

 His newest EP, A Change of Direction, provides both soulful & high tempo soundscape to match the witty wordplay that also provides an in-depth look at AV-8's life experiences that are relatable to many people. This is in contrast to his past projects, such as "Within the Darkest Hours," which is more eerie & introspective in comparison. 

 When performing, AV-8 does an excellent job at connecting with the audience in front of him, making sure that there is an entertaining experience which also shows his passion & honesty. Making sure the crowd leaves with an enjoyabe time as well as seeing his views on mental health is an essential part of what AV-8 brings to his live sets

 "WITHIN THE DARKEST HOURS" is AV-8's first full length project, released on June 28th, 2022 through Respected Rejectz. The artwork was commissioned by Kalypsoh early in 2021 with oil on canvas, the original being 20X20 inches large. With production from upcoming staples in the underground such as Sovren, Raz Fresco, Speed "WavyJones" Beats, Chup, & King David (as well as some production from AV-8 himself) the album provides an in-depth look at his personal experiences up until today that made him the artist he is today with a cohesive & original sound.
